About the Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable bilingual legal assistant who can provide excellent support to our attorneys and clients, especially in family-based immigration matters. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing), has strong administrative and communication skills, and ideally has at least one year of experience in immigration law, particularly family-based petitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents
- Communicate effectively with clients in both English and Spanish
- Manage deadlines and case progress through our case management system
- Draft cover letters, affidavits, translations, and client communications
- Schedule USCIS interviews and other appointments
- Assist attorneys with case research, file organization, and trial preparation
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction
- Support the firm’s mission of advocacy and access to justice for immigrant communities
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- At least 1 year of experience in immigration law is preferred, especially with family-based cases (I-130, I-485, I-601A, N-400, etc.)
- Legal assistant or paralegal certification is a plus but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule
- Full-time: 40–55 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekend availability may be required
