About The Role
Powers Law Group is seeking a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) Associate Attorney to join our growing immigration law practice in Houston, Texas (hybrid). We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated attorney who is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate the U.S. immigration system. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a variety of immigration matters, excellent communication skills, and a client-centered approach.Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in removal defense matters, including:
- Master Calendar Hearings (MCHs)
- Individual Hearings / Hearings on the Merits (HOMs)
- USCIS interviews
- ICE check-ins and other agency appointments
- Provide legal consultations and communicate effectively with clients in both English and Spanish.
- Prepare timely post-hearing summaries and case updates for the firm.
- Follow firm strategy, case management procedures, and documentation protocols.
- Communicate professionally with Immigration Courts, USCIS, ICE, EOIR personnel, government officials, and clients.
- Draft and review legal filings, motions, declarations, and supporting documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to provide high-quality client representation.
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines are met.
